Since 1998, Graduate School has been established to provide graduate education at Buriram Rajabhat University which was named as “Buriram Rajabhat Institute” at that time. In 2004, the Buriram Rajabhat Institute was replaced by Rajabhat University Act, so Buriram Rajabhat University was proclaimed as a juristic person. The Graduate School has been committed to developing and providing the graduate education in order to be in accord with a current change. Only one graduate program offered at BRU was Master of Education Program in Educational Administration. Later, in 1999, Graduate School offered another graduate program: Master of Arts Program in Social Sciences for Development and continued cooperating with Faculty of Education to offer a Graduate Diploma Program in Teacher Profession. In 2002, it developed an additional program: Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. So, the educational regulation of Graduate school was re-improved to be consistent with changing university status by upgrading the old curricula into the new ones of Buriram Rajabhat University. However, it still opened the same curricula for students during 1998-2003 and developed three additional curricula in 2004: Master of Public Administration, Master of Business Administration Program in General Management, and Master of Arts Program in Local Research and Development. In 2005, the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Education, announced the new graduate curriculum standards which were enforced in action until now. Graduate School has still managed graduate studies which were developed to be up-to-date and compliant with the 2005 graduate curriculum standards. In 2007, Graduate School developed a new curriculum, namely, Doctor of Philosophy Program in Educational Administration, and in 2008, it offered two new curricula consisting of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Leadership for Professional Development and Master of Arts Program in English.
